Join Us for Orange Shirt Day

Orange Shirt Day is on Sunday, September 30 this year, and we invite you to plan an event on a day that works for your community or school!

Grab your Orange Shirt and join Safe and Caring Schools at an Orange Shirt Day event to show your support and demonstrate commitment to the work of reconciliation and that
Every Child Matters.

The event is an opportunity to experience a taste of community politics and participate in an activity supporting reconciliation. There will be residential school survivors, students from across the province, officials from all levels of government and traditional entertainment. The activities wrap-up with traditional drumming and dancing, a round dance and a group photo with the expected 500+ students and guests.

In Edmonton, on Friday, September 28th,
from 12-1 pm at Edmonton City Hall

In Calgary, on Monday, October 1st,
from 12-1 pm at the Calgary Municipal Complex Atrium

2018 Orange Shirt Day falls on Sunday … you are welcome to organize your events for a nearby date that suits your community.
