Safe and Caring Schools & Communities is proud to host the Education Guide Launch in Alberta.

Please join representatives from, the National Inquiry – Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, Alberta Students, Educators, Officials from all levels of Government, members of the public and Safe and Caring Schools & Communities for the launch of “Their Voices Will Guide Us” Education Guide at 10:45am on February 20th, 2018, at Edmonton City Hall.

This education guide is a resource for educations at all levels to introduce the value of indigenous women and girls’ lives into the classroom and into the minds and hearts of young people. By taking collective responsibility for safety, and by educating Canadians about the systemic causes of violence against Indigenous women and girls, we can effect real change.

When we think to the future, we consider the legacy we will leave for those who come after us: our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other young people for generations to come. One of the best legacies we can leave them is an education that will help prevent violence and keep Indigenous women and girls safe so that they can all flourish. Together we can create a society in which all Indigenous lives are valued.

We hope to see you at 10:45am on February 20, 2018 at Edmonton City Hall
