8th Annual Creating Safe Spaces Waffle Breakfast

The Creating Safe Spaces Waffle Breakfast is designed to serve as a fundraiser and a celebration of the past year, honouring key supporters, recognizing achievements and showcasing some of our work and partnerships.

Our eighth annual event, on November 19th, 2014 at the Sutton Place Hotel Edmonton and Bow Habitat Station & Volunteer Society in Calgary attracted over 300 guests, including leaders in education, government, business, youth advocacy and community building.

This year’s event was hosted by Josh Classen and Donovan Workun, and featured an inaugural address from Safe and Caring’s new Honourary Chair, the Honourable Heather Klimchuk, Minister of Human Servces. Safe and Caring also announced and celebrated the winners of the Art of Caring Contest and recipients of the HEROES of a Safe and Caring World Award.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the 2014 breakfast!

Safe and Caring would like to thank our media sponsor CTV and Role Model sponsors: Enbridge, AMA School Safety Patrol and Pixel Blue College, as well as our many Friend sponsors and guests!
